Finally, the new lottery gambling game, the “Celebrating Our Statehood”, was introduced. Well, it was introduced just in time for the celebration of the 150th birthday of Kansas and many Kansans felt relieved. It was reported before the state’s 150th birthday celebration that there will be group of Kansans that will delay the unveiling of the new lottery gambling game.
“Celebrating Our Statehood” was introduced as a gambling lottery game that will be like a $1 ticket. This week, retailers will be receiving 600,000 of the tickets and customers can start buying after couple of weeks. The $2 ticket will also be available to customers in January.
Many Kansans were happy with the new lottery gambling game finally introduced. For them, it will help in the promotion of the state’s birthday celebration. But there were some who were also unhappy with it. The lottery game might be like a game not worth introducing.
Gayle Reskin said: “I think it is awful how they use something like the state’s birthday to trick people into buying lottery tickets. The idea that I can win the top prize of $1,500 is almost comical when you consider that hundreds of thousands of these tickets are being sold. I guess it is just a brilliant marketing campaign.”
If the founding fathers of Kansas were alive when the new lottery gambling game was introduced they most likely have disapproved the unveiling. Gambling was completely unacceptable before many of US states even existed. But then, they were not alive and so were not able to disapprove the introduction of the new lottery gambling game. It was successfully introduced to the people of Kansas. And the Kansans can now try it out.
But we just hope for the best for Kansas, though it means the state actually having the new lottery gambling game for the people. The state only deserves the best and nothing else.
