There will be a new casino opening up in Philadelphia. The financing plan for the new casino is $220 million. The people in Philadelphia are already excited about it and can’t wait for the doors to open.

In order for this to happen, they had to approve it and run it by the state Gaming Control Board. Some people weren’t sure if they would accept the deal or not. The new casino will be called the SugarHouse casino. It will be built next to the beautiful Delaware River on some vacant land.

They have wanted to build this new casino for years but it has been delayed for lots of reasons. A couple of the reasons had to deal with the construction permits and, of course, they had to get the financing for it. Since everything is finally approved, they will be getting started on it right away.

They are hoping that the new casino will be opened next August. There will be lots of slots that people can play. When they open, they will have around 1,700 slot machines. They are also hoping to have a few table games but that depends on the state. They must see if the state is able to legalize the table games, and if it does, they will be there.

The one in charge of the financing plan is Mr. Bluhm, and he has already put a lot of time and money into this casino. He has spent $170 million just from his own pocket. Some of the investors have helped him out with it as well. This is a project that everyone is coming together on because they are just that excited about it.

They have been under some pressure from the citizens that live in that area because there are some that are against gambling, and they feel it will damage the community and cause a lot of financial troubles for the families that are in that area. Sen. Larry Farnese is one of the ones who are against this project, along with Rep. Mike O’Brien. They also think that it will be bad because their city is already on a tight budget. They have voiced their complaints to the board. One of the things that doesn’t look good is that there is another casino in Philadelphia that is already behind schedule and won’t be opening up until 2011. They feel that this will do the same thing and give people false hope. However, Mr. Bluhm claims that they will indeed have it opened next year and that the two casinos are of no comparison.

People are also looking forward to this new casino opening because they will be hiring lots of people when it does finally open, which is another thing that will help out the city of Philadelphia.
