The gambling industry in Canada is soon to oversee a wide range of fairly dramatic changes and developments as the various provinces begin to investigate methods whereby they can make online gambling legal. This and a range of other issues will be up for discussion during the yearly Canadian Gaming Summit which is currently taking place in Calgary, Alberta, at the BMO centre – home to the famous Calgary Stampede.
The centre itself is a recently renovated 500,000 square foot amenity, which is capable of hosting anywhere up to 7,000,000 visitors. The summit will, among other things, play host to a large number of Canadian gaming operators who will listen to and discuss a wide range of subjects as well as view and experience a large iGaming area. Those attending the summit will be able to take advantage of the opportunity to listen to a range of experts expounding on many topics, including discussing the possible courses and options open to the Canadian provincial governments as they begin to engage more and more fully with the developing and highly lucrative world of online gambling.
Among the topics to be discussed in particular are ways in which the industry can best be developed as well as methods of ensuring that the burgeoning industry is properly and responsibly regulated. Various regulatory professionals attending the summit will discuss just how Canada can best embrace the multi-billion dollar online gambling industry as well as the potential of Canada’s annual one billion dollar spend on electronic gambling.
The assembled delegates will further be able to gain an insight into just how the various Canadian provinces face the inevitable challenge of producing and ensuring an online gambling environment that is at once safe, secure, responsibly maintained and properly regulated, whilst also remaining entertaining for gamers.
The Canadian Gaming Summit is the only expo in Canada that works to serve the whole of the Canadian gaming industry as it brings together a range of the main decision makers from across the industry, especially those managers involved in the buying and sourcing of game-related products and services. Those participating in the summit are also gleaned from all sectors of the gaming industry and from all regions of Canada. All aspects of gaming, whether land-based or online are represented.
