But the casinos with hotel and restaurant were also allowed not to close totally. Their hotel and restaurant can also help everyone in need.
One General Manager of a top casino said: “We have 300 rooms rented, and if people are stranded and have no place to go, I’m certainly not going to throw them out into the storm. Right now we have no plans to close our hotel and restaurants.”
The top casinos closed because of Hurricane Irene although their owner tried not to close their doors. It was also necessary for the casinos to stop with their operations because of the hurricane. The casino owners also closed the casinos as they needed to. Closing them will cost them millions of dollars but they must do it also for the safety of all. The hotel and restaurant can also be helpful most especially when the hurricane can bring nothing else but heavy flood and strong wind. Casino owners also really tried to help although also facing big problem because of the hurricane. They must be also appreciated for also being good and humane.
One casino co-owner said: “We’re focused on trying to help everybody get back home. If anybody comes in, we tell them the casino is closed and that we are shutting down.”
