Grand Casino, the popular casino in Basel, Switzerland, was actually assaulted by ten armed robbers a week ago. And the ten armed robbers, well they were able to unlawfully take $240,000.

Early morning of Sunday, March 28, the ten armed robbers arrived at Grand Casino. Upon arriving at the said casino, they have destroyed the outer door using a sledge hammer. Then after which, went straight to where they have emptied checkouts. The men also checked out the vault where huge money was then. But they failed to crack the safe. Thus, they were only able to steal $240,000.

According to news reports, aside from stealing $240,000 from Grand Casino, the ten armed robbers were also able to hit about 600 players that were playing then at the said casino and even fired at them couple of shots.

But two silver Audis, which still according to news reports were with French licensing plates, eventually picked up the criminals. And only a few minor injury cases were confirmed.

Naturally, we condemned such kind of happening. A casino like Grand Casino must be free from any form of violence as there could just be a lot of players that might get hurt. But then we’re not in control of everything. Certain happenings just need to happen.

At least, the ten armed men were not able to completely succeed. They failed to empty the vault. They were only able to empty checkouts. They were only able to get away with $240,000. If they have divided the money among themselves, they only made $24,000 each. They have not gotten much.

Players just need to be careful when playing at any casino. And they just need to be on their senses, alert when playing. Criminals will always be around, will always be a threat to their safety.
