Mr. Kirk Kerkorian, CEO of Tracinda Corporation, once again proved to everyone that legal gambling can be really helpful. The big man of the private investment corporation confirmed that he has donated to the University of California, Los Angeles or UCLA. It was said that he has donated $100 million to the public research university.

It was revealed on Monday that $200 million will be transferred from the Lincy Foundation to the newly formed Dream Fund. Half of the $200 million will be given to UCLA for medical research.

Lincy President Jay Rakow explained: “Mr. Kerkorian has tremendous confidence in their ability to use these funds in a responsible and productive way for the types of charitable purposes that the Lincy Foundation has always pursued.”

Well, there have been so many people against gambling. They have not been supporting legalization of gambling as for them it won’t be helpful to. Despite the huge amount of money it could provide, they have been just so against it. They have been considering the possibility of having a lot of problem gamblers. But yes, Mr. Kerkorian still wanted to continue showing to everyone that it will be really helpful. Through the $100 million donation to UCLA, he just showed again that it will be helpful to legalize gambling. Gambling revenue can be really useful. There will be problem gamblers for sure but most likely for him and the rest of supporters of legalization of gambling, there should only be programs to help out these problem gamblers be over their addiction.

But of course, it is not possible to force some people to support legalization of gambling if they don’t want to. However, they must be also thankful to Mr. Kerkorian for being generous enough to give out donation and not only gambling revenue.
