NetPlayTV, a leading interactive entertainment company out of the UK, is looking at starting up operations locally in the United States after striking a deal with ITV1 for a major late-night airtime slot to begin offering its services in a teleshopping window known as “The Zone”. This two-hour window is set to open for public viewing starting in May of 2010 and is looking to draw viewers from around the country via advertising both online and offline as well as through television adverts on different networks.

Designed to revolutionize the interactive gaming industry, NetPlayTV connects players with a real-time experience through their television where they an interact via phone or computer to gamble in real-time and see results from a live setting broadcast straight to their living room. The primary goal initially is to set aside a 30-minute time slot to take place six days a week to be used for Bingo with the intent to create the world’s largest Bingo game ever. Other time will be used for other classes of gambling games, with televised roulette being another major attraction that is planned on being in the game line-up.

Over the past few years, NetPlayTV has successfully generated substantial cash flows throughout the UK with over GBP 14 million placed in bets each month. The company has also reportedly paid out over GBP 400,000 a day on its roulette tables alone, proving strong consumer interest in what NetPlayTV has to offer. Given the significantly larger market of the US these numbers are expected to increase substantially, though as this will be a relatively new prospect for most gamers having a large-scale positive cash flow is likely to be limited initially for the company until a larger consumer base is developed, equating to smaller cash prizes for players at first.

As a long-term goal for the company, they are looking at developing a market that can have access to any number of casino games through a wide range of communication medium, utilizing even their mobile phones to place wagers whenever they wish to be involved in an activity. Possible options will include most popular casino games in addition to even slots and slot machine tournaments, televised live with winners announced on the air as the games progress.

The initial collaboration of NetPlayTV with ITV is set to take place initially over a 6-month “trial period” where the new innovations offered by NetPlayTV are tested in the US for market viability. Managers from both companies anticipate that the collaboration will be a major success and look forward to seeing how the US market will react to the new gaming options available to them soon.
