There were new draft changes released by the regulators in preparation for the regulation of online poker in Nevada. One of them was about the player fund protection program that was also considered important. It must be provided by the operators. It would be also for the welfare of the players. It would simply provide protection for the interest of the players, as the regulators also wished to say.
A.G. Burnett of Gaming Control Board said: “I think player fund [protection] goes to a core responsibility we have. With land-based operators facing uncertain financial times, that has been an issue of focus for us. We need to ensure that player funds are protected adequately and we spend a lot of time and energy on that task.”
There were some draft changes and also one of them was about the bot protection plan. It must be also provided with the players being easily affected by bots. However, it was also considered that cheaters would still have their way to enter online poker rooms and use some cheating strategies. They would find a way although the bot protection plan would be there to stop them from finding one. However, they may also find it difficult to, with the bot protection plan being implemented. It would still help to have one most especially when truly capable of giving protection from bots. However, it must be true that regulators would still need to wait for the approval of the new draft changes including the ones on the player fund protection program and the bot protection plan. They would still need to wait also for some time. However, they would still wish to wait also for all the players.
Burnett, in addition, said: “I would hope that all operators would try to curtail players gaining an unfair advantage, and to especially stop any cheating activities.”
